Wussing out

I feel slightly defeated. I think my body needs a break: it's tired and achy, and it's making me crabby. I'm taking tonight off. I feel guilty about it, though. I'll still probably go for a short walk after sundown, but that's really not as hard a workout as I should be doing.

I hope that after a month of taking this class, I'll feel less sore. I'm looking forward to not feeling like a total wuss, but I guess it will be a while before I get to that point.

  1. You deserve a break every now and then, especially when you're just getting started and your body isn't used to all the stress you're putting it through all of a sudden.

    On a side note: You've inspired me! I downloaded a 7-day guest pass to 24-Hour Fitness and started taking some of their classes. I'm mega sore too. Apparently, my lower back is the weakest part of my body! Anyway, let's keep it up together! (I'm going to buy a membership this weekend probably.)

    ...And congrats on the workouts! Classes plural? Wow. I'm just happy to make it through one. I think that maybe in a few weeks, I'll be able to add another class. I'm not quite there yet. After my month is up, I think I will sign up for a 6-month membership at this gym.

  3. Well, 24-Hour does a different set of classes each week. Let me say that better: they offer all their classes all the time, but usually only 2-3 times per week at different times of different days. So, when I say I've been taking classes, I mean one class each afternoon, but different classes each time. Monday I took Turbo Kickboxing, Tuesday was Weights, (Wednesday I took off for softball; I'm on a coed league), and yesterday was Mind/Body Boot Camp. I feel ya on the whole body being sore thing. I'm taking off tonight and tomorrow. I may find a class to go to on Sunday, but we'll see. =)
